I like cute, what can I say, and this game looked cute.
On top of that, the slimes reminded me of porings in Ragnarok Online

Slime rancher is the cutest thing but it also offers quite a few challenges.
I personally enjoyed working out the best layout for my farm and what resources I should gather and then head out to hunt / forage.
The game can be whatever you like: face-paced combat, chill farming sim, exploration.

There's been quite a few updates since I played and the devs have never disappointed. Was worth my money then, even more so now.
