Role-play: The Astrologer
Foreword
This character began as a creation designed to explore the incredible mods crafted for Morrowind Modding Madness 2024.
With this year’s themes—"Transformation" and "Skies and Stars"—as inspiration, I developed a character that fits perfectly into these evocative concepts: An Astrologer.
To add even more depth and personality, I used a modified version of XeroFoxx's Ahead of the Role-play.
In this post, you’ll find a detailed character sheet that brings this vision to life, along with a list of recommended mods to enhance the experience. Whether you’re here to play as this character or to adapt the ideas for your own adventures, I hope this sparks your imagination.
Character Details
Race: Breton
Gender: Female
Birthsign: Mage
Class: Astrologer
Class Description: The Astrologer perceives destiny's threads in stellar movements. Their mystical attunement reveals cosmic patterns, while conjuration helps them reach beyond Mundus for deeper understanding. Though some dismiss their art as mere fortune-telling, their predictions prove eerily accurate enough to keep both nobles and peasants returning.
Backstory
Giselle Leciel grew up in the academic circles of Wayrest, where her parents served as court scholars. While they focused on historical texts and political treaties, young Giselle found herself drawn to the observatory tower. The court astronomer, Master Beaufort, noticed her endless questions about the night sky and took her under his wing. Her life changed dramatically when she correctly predicted a noble's downfall by observing an unusual alignment of celestial bodies. This brought unwanted attention from political rivals who tried to force her to use her gifts for their schemes. One particularly aggressive suitor, Lord Dufont, wouldn't take no for an answer, leading to a scandal that forced her to seek new horizons. A mysterious letter speaking of Morrowind's unique astrological phenomena provided the perfect escape.
