Oblivion: Druid Edition

The Story

When I started let's playing Morrowind, the plan always was to work my way through most of the Elder Scrolls titles, with the exception of Arena.
For Oblivion, I knew I didn't have the fondest memories of the game for a couple of reasons:

  • It came so soon after Morrowind I expected a game with everything I love about Morrowind but prettier.
  • later on, I was disappointed with the modding scene.

I have since realised that the fault was my own: Never expect anything of a game, especially a sequel. As for the modding scene, it was mostly that the Morrowind modding community had matured while Oblivion modding community was younger.

To make sure I would enjoy the game, I added gameplay mods: Druid and ranger, as well as difficulty mods (Obsurio and Maskar overhalls and Economy enhanced) and OblivionXP to have something completely novel. I didn't use graphic mods because it had been a long time since I had played Oblivion and didn't feel I needed the novelty of graphic replacers.

I was originally streaming on YouTube: I had started on YouTube and felt it was fair to keep the weekly livestream where it had been. At least until one Saturday YouTube was experiencing some technical difficulties and I was forced to take the stream to Twitch... where it stayed.

My Dryad has become a bit of a cliché: a sneaky archer in light armour, but in my defense, this is the first time I played such a character and I feel I had enough handicaps to make up for the overpowered build.
